Survivor Speakout

Act To End Violence Against Women coordinates a Survivor Speakout made up of violence against women survivors and professionals in the Toronto area. The goal of the Survivor Speakout is to educate the public about the widespread incidence of violence against women and to underline its impact by sharing real life, personal stories from survivors of violence.

“As a speaker, I find it takes a lot of effort on my part and in fact can be very nerve-wracking and draining. However it has helped me to gain some confidence in myself. It gives me satisfaction not to be cowering in a corner somewhere. I will say that I couldn’t do it without the support of Act To End Violence Against Women.”  Speaker and survivor
